We were delighted that an abstract with the title, Stakeholder involvement in the development of a new proactive clinical review of patients prescribed opioid medicines long-term for persistent pain, was selected for a poster presentation at the 55th Annual Scientific Meeting of the British Pain Society, this June. This is the first time we’ve had an in-person opportunity to share our work with colleagues in the field of pain since the onset of the pandemic.
The work in the abstract outlines how we involved multiple stakeholders with different backgrounds but with a shared interest in improving care for patients prescribed opioid medicines long-term for persistent pain to support the development and refinement of the PROMPPT intervention. We’re preparing a manuscript for a peer-reviewed journal about the key actions with stakeholders later this year. Watch this space for updates on this!
